    1. Rachel is AMAZING at writing YA love stories. That's what this book is. Amazing. It's full of sweetness, with a side of cocky, snarky, and realness. This book could absolutely happen in the real world. I LOVED Ellie. She was sweet and MORAL and normal. The only time I wanted to slap her was near the end, but of course that was the point. We were watching this play out, as the reader knowing that she wasn't right, but just knew that all would be well in short time. And the 'come back together' sce [...]

    2. All the disgusting double standards that I hate were right on display in this book.I pray every day that I don't have to deal with this stupidity anymore, but once every couple of weeks I read novels by authors who think these double standards are acceptable.

    3. So, I really enjoyed this one. It’s a lighthearted, conflict-free romance that had me smiling quite a bit. Ellie and Fin had great chemistry together; I loved their banter and friendship. Ellie comes home one day to realize her crazy roommate has taken off with all of her belongings. Just as this is sinking in Fin shows up claiming Ellie owes him seven thousand dollars from an online poker game. He doesn’t believe that it was actually her roommate that stole her identity to enter the game. H [...]

    4. I stopped reading at 79%. I just couldn't do it anymore. When I first started reading it, I was hooked. The plot line was great and the characters started out interesting. I overlooked the overuse of exclamation points (!!!!!!!!!!!) and carried on. But then, I got to know Ellie. She's great on the surface, but she's awful when you dig deep. She's one of those girls who constantly complains that she's not pretty, but she's harping on it so much that it becomes obvious she just wants compliments. [...]

    5. 244 reviews and avg rating 4.21.ybe its meybe im not in the right mind frame to enjoy this book. I have no other words but descibe it as brutal. When I read books like this I have to remind myself this isnt a job.s suppose to be fun. This was not fun. This was not funny. IMO

    6. 4.5 stars! This book was amazing! I love stories where the hero and heroine don't start off on the best foot. Not only do they have an extra edge when it comes to dealing with one another, but the intense chemistry is usually off the charts hot. And Bet on Us was super hot. I love how Ellie and Fin totally danced around one another. Not only was there a large amount of money at the heart of their conflict, but their unwanted attraction to each other that only grew as they spent time together also [...]

    7. Bueno, interesante, fresco, pero el adelanto de libro de Beckett me llamó la atención con solo dos páginas que este libro completo.

    8. I discovered Ms. Higginson a year (or is it two?) ago and I've been wanting to go back and read this book for a while now.  While her newer books have been contemporary romance, this one was new adult.  Can you hear me groaning?  But I chose to read this as part of our Romance Roundabout Challenge and in part I'm glad that I did because I found the story cute and sweet.  But on the other side, I think it is a bit forgettable.  There wasn't any one thing that hit home with me here like her b [...]

    9. 2.5 StarsI found it a bit too melodramatic at times. Actually, to be accurate I found Ellie way too melodramatic. In the beginning, I kinda thought she was a bit overly dramatic but I felt sorry for her. She was in a crappy situation after all. But as the story unfolded I found her just rather stubborn and way spoilt. I mean she is complaining about money but she was in this spot because of her choices. Which by the way I find ridiculous and selfish. The way this dealt with money, was a condescen [...]

    10. **A copy was kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.**RATING CLARIFICATION : 3.5 - 4 STARSI'm not really sure where to start my review of this book. I enjoyed reading this book but it didn't WOW me. I felt like something was missing, but I can't really put my finger in what that is. I was definitely intrigued with the storyline of this bookis was story I hadn't read before. Which I of course found very refreshing. Yes it is a NA book with most of the same components we se [...]

    11. ** DEBBIE'S 5 STAR REVIEW ** This book blew me away!!! I read a majority of this book with a huge smile on my face. The author did a fantastic job! The book flowed and the banter between Fin and Ellie was hysterical and at times hot as hell!!!The book grabbed me with the first sentence and I seriously could not put this baby down. I love a book that is filled with humor and tons of flirting and this one was defiantly full of it. Lets not forget I am an angst whore and this one had that going on [...]

    12. Ellie Harris just found out her college roommate has stolen her identity and her furniture. A hot college guy, Fin Hunter, is at her dorm asking for seven thousand dollars that supposedly she owes him. The money is from an online poker game. Ellie has no idea how to play poker and can't believe her roommate has done this to her. She agrees to pay part of it to Fin by working for him until she can get the rest of the money.Everyone in college knows Fin. This includes a couple of her overprotectiv [...]

    13. I tried to connect to this one, but I could not. I picked this book up at least five times, but the characters just did not work for me. The premise sounded so good, but as I read, I found myself bored. My opinion. You may love it.

    15. I feel like I'm a broken record when I say that I keep seeing these recommendations on social media, but it's true and it's a great platform for the avid reader to find some great books. I mean there are so many authors nowadays that use social media to spread their books far and wide. Anyway the point I'm trying to make is that I found this book whilst scrolling through Facebook. There was a lot of hype surrounding it so it intrigued me enough to download. The title Bet On Us doesn't seem to go [...]

    16. *2-2.5 bet in the dark stars *So, here I am, after almost a week. Reading this book was slow torture, really. I did not take me 5 days to read one book and I do not even know how long. But with all the stuff in my life I've gotten to 70% and it was not that bad for me to give up.First off, I hated that it was only one POV kind of book. I already commented that part in my previous reviews. I'm not digging them. I guess it's because all the time I feel like something is missing, and I come to the [...]

    17. Definitely a fun, fulfilling chick flick type story. Started out absolutely fabulous, I was hooked right away. I was leery of Fin, probably b/c Ellie was, but once I learned more about him, I wanted to marry him (assuming my husband would agree to the polygamy). He was unbelievably sexy, ridiculously sweet and I loved his moments of uncertainty with Ellie. And then to hear his backstory*sniff* I just love that boy. Ellie started off really adorable, I enjoyed her innocence and sweetness mixed wi [...]

    18. Ok, this is quite the diamond in the ruff. What I anticipated to be a book of mystery and intensity was actually a very sweet and magnificent love story. Fin Hunter is not dark and deadly, and Ellie is not your innocent by standard. Now I don't mean that she actually owes this money, but this girl has enough spice and sass to light a forest fire. I love both of these characters, and actually I loved all of the remaining cast as well. That is with the exception of her last boyfriend. Even though [...]

    19. All Bets OffI enjoyed so much. This marvellous and just wonderful and emotional book. Bet On Us, was so sweet. The book one of the series, Bet on Love. I have always adored all Rachel Higginson's sweet and loving stories so much and with her outstanding writing in this novel. The story flowed so brilliantly. Dealing with the strong sense of right and wrong of this world preface was the intention that brought these two brilliant characters together. Then to deal with that all their problems in li [...]

    21. 3.5 stars This was a cute YA romance story without a ton of angst. Refreshing change of pace to see main character, Ellie, have a great relationship with her family and loved reading about her overprotective brothers. I enjoyed the interaction between Ellie and Fin and the sliw building romance. There were some parts of the story where I thought the author could have expanded on the storyline a little more and other parts where I thought some of the story could have been left out.

    22. For the record, this book is a clean NA save for the really hot makeout sessions. Why oh why did I only introduce myself to Rachel Higginson's works so late? I am honestly hooked! FULL REVIEW TO COME

    23. Bet on Us by Rachel Higginson is a angsty and comedic college romance story that I absolutely adore. Fin Hunter has a cocky attitude that I could not get enough of. He is a sexy big-hearted hero that I've officially added into my list of All Time Favorite Book Boyfriends. Ellie is also one of my favorite heroines , even though her stubbornness did frustrate me at times. Ellie's quick wit and sarcasm were hilarious additions to this story, especially when her comments were directed at her brother [...]

    24. 3.5 StarsI really enjoyed this story. It was a fun contemporary romance with great characters. My biggest issue with it was the illegal gambling; Finn's reasons to run the poker games were in the right place but I feel there should have been some consequences.I listened to this on audio and I didn't love the narrator; I found her voice to be a bit high pitched and it gave Ellie an almost winey quality to her voice.

    25. I have a million complaints about this bookever, I did not DNF and it held my interest, so that is something. Honestly, I really liked Fin. He held the book. I found Ellie to be annoying because honestly, no one would ever allow themselves in her predicament. But.Fin kept me reading.

    26. I feel I've become soft with my ratings. Take them with caution.EditDemoted to 3 stars. I just remembered the female leads hypocrisy. Her constant selfish whining for independence and freedom as she refused to take any control. Actually she was quite frustrating in many ways.

    27. If I had been in a book slump, this would have been the story to pull me out of it. This story made me laugh and smile and feel good about it from start to finish. I was happy there were rarely any bad words and no sex. I think sex would have ruined this story. This was a NA book yet it felt MA -YA at times due to how clean it was. But that's in no way a knock on the book. I think that's a good thing. It's nice to read a pretty clean book. In fact, it was what I was looking for and I very much a [...]

    28. This book is so much awesome.Rachel Higginson has such a whacked out sense of humour. I loved it.The way that Fin and Ellie meet is priceless. It's definitely one of the best starts to a love story that I've ever read.Ellie's brothers are out of control to the max. They just love fighting in the name of Ellie's “honour” and teasing the hell out of her. I grew up with three brothers that basically existed with “R” ratings attached to them: strong language, violent behavior and sexual cont [...]

    29. Totally AWESOME YA novel And a proper novel too No cliffy, no repetitive love scenes, it was filled with angst, stubborn determination and a super hot alpha. There were points in this story I was starting to skim over te paragraphs esp near the end, as I was just like 'get over this already!' I want the steamy hot release you have been building! And sheesh didn't it half build! But nope this is a excellent book, and a well written storyline that didn't need to resort to the steamy hot all be it s [...]
